SO LONG, HIGH SCHOOL.  I can have a life now!

OH AND, my friends and I saw a tornado last night.  True story.




I don't know why I drew or painted this, but whatev, I like the hair.  : DD

BUT I NEED TO DRAW, FOR YUKIO AND FOR MECHACON but Clap-san's tutorial has given

me the urge to experiment with watercolors, AGAIN.  I am prepared to fail, and fail hard.

Because it's seriously lacking my, you know, art.

08 / 22 PAGES OF MY CHILDREN'S BOOK ARE COMPLETE.

Me:  Must the illustrations be colored?
Mr. C:  Yes, they must be colored.
Me:  Do you think three days is enough time to complete an entire children's book?
Mr. C:  Yes, yes, I do. 
Me:  ...I don't.
Mr. C:  You all have had nearly a week to work on them, plus your free time!

What is this "free time" he speaks of?

I told Mr. C ( no sass whatsoever! ) that his deadline does not gave us enough time to complete our children's books.  He disagreed, of course, and basically blamed my lack of progress on my friends, "my distractions" lolol.  That's funny, 'cause this is only the second class he's set aside to work on them.  AND SO, as "punishment" or whatev, he made me... SIT ALL BY MY LONESOME.  rofl What is this, middle school?  But of course he pretended as if he didn't hear the girls talking about prom, or boyfriends, or asdkfnskjd.  :|

It was hilarious in that lacking-of-hilarity way, chuknow?  He complimented my illustrations and told me that they didn't have to be as detailed as they are ( b- but they aren't that detailed ).  Then, he showed me a past student's book.  I was like, "but that just isn't... me."   

Buttt I'm not angry.  I just needed to vent.

I hope I have time to scan it; it's pretty bangin' ( the sketches, at least ) if I say so myself uguu.

I should set aside time throughout the week to speedpaint.  It's relaxing, and I would hopefully learn to paint more quickly.  Plus the more often I draw / paint, the more opportunities I have to practice and perfect my anatomy skills ( and backgrounds ;;; ), right?  Right.  BD

PORTFOLIO.

I'm stressing much less about my portfolio, despite February being right around the corner.  I'd like to paint a couple still lifes for my portfolio - on mini canvases.  The website states that they prefer "dry media" so...  In addition to refined pencil still lifes, I'm going to do a couple in acrylics.  CC:  If I have time.  I hope I do - my portfolio is going to need that extra "oomph"!

CLEANLINESS.

I cleaned my bathroom; next is my pigsty of a bedroom.  It was actually, dare I say... enjoyable, thanks to my most recent discovery: Scrub Free Foam!  This product... is a godsend, I kid you not.  ;_;  I srsly enjoyed cleaning my toilet.

...Okay, 'shutting up.


Argh, I have a sociology test tomorrow.  The material is easy, but gosh, where, oh where, has my three day weekend gone?  :'C

I-I- I don't even know. ;;;; I used my current ID as my reference, purposely straying from the original colors and angle, but it looks nothing like me. :'DD I think it looked better before I inked areas of it with my multiliners; at least the eye's ugliness was less noticeable before then.  And lol, finishing this made me wish I had drawn more of hushed tones. before now. Such depressing pages to back up such a bright, though expressionless ( even more so than the reference! ), self portrait.

OH WELL!

and my scanner refuses to scan it.

About that practice ACT test.  I don't see why those of us who didn't attend the prep class had to take the practice test but hokay, you bunch'a crazies.  After guessing on nearly everything outside of the English and Reading sections, I got... a 21.  AGAIN.  FOR THE SECOND TIME.  What is with me and the 20-22 range?!  So close yet so far from a lovely 23-25.  :'D

OH WELL.  I'm just glad it's overrr.

I should be asleep.  Ugh ugh.

There's an ACT prep class tomorrow- er, today; it's mandatory that we attend.  ...If I had known they'd force us into a prep class, I wouldn't have taken the ACT in October.  Maybe then the class today would be of use to me instead of wasting a perfectly good Wednesday that I could be using to work on my religion powerpoint and my nearly impossible physics lab due Thursday.
